Terry Howard Butts, 53 years old, of Burbank, California, formerly of Southington, Ohio, died, Friday, February 26, 2010 at 3:12 AM due to injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was born February 8, 1957 in Warren, the son of the Ella Waneta Myers Butts and the late John Howard Butts.
He was a 1975 graduate of Chalker High School was self employed recording/producer/engineer in Los Angeles, California, where he worked with various celebrities including Ray Charles, with whom he won thee Grammy Awards for Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
He was an honorably discharged US Airforce Veteran having served during peacetime.
Survivors include his mother of Southington; his brother, Karl Butts of Southington and his sister, Kathie (James) Cuttings of Leavittsburg; his niece, Tiffanie Cuttings of Leavittsburg and his best friend, Donald "Buster" Varner of Champion.
Funeral services will be held at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home on Sunday March 7, at 6:00 PM. with the Rev. Nelson Wilhelm officiating.
Friends and family may visit two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.
