Rex R. Pealer, 89 years old, of Cortland Ohio, died at 3:45 AM Sunday, February 7, 2010, at Gillettes Nursing Home. He was born March 8, 1920 in Mentor, Ohio the son of the late Francis W. Pealer and the late Dora M. Wintersteen. Rex married Doris Mae Battison on March 23, 1946.

He graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1938 & graduated General Motors Institute. He was employed by Packard Electric as a Mechanical Engineer retiring after 39 years of service.

He was a veteran of WWII having served as a P51 Pilot in the South Pacific.

Rex was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Warren where he served as trustee, the Air Commando Association, P51 Pilots Association, Air Force Association & the Cortland Fire Department.

Surviving are Wife, Doris Mae Pealer of Cortland, Ohio, Daughter, Mrs. David "Beverly" Shaw of Cody, Wyoming, Daughter, Brenda Bangert of Cody, Wyoming, Son, Rex A. "Kay" Pealer of Cortland, Ohio, Grandson-Keith Pealer & Granddaughter Erin Pealer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Eugene F. Pealer.

Per Rex's request Private Memorial Services were held.
